The Life We Almost Had
(CR 1024)
Guido Foelsing
OPENER
Grand Square
We were young and full of answers
Had a map drawn into the sand
Thought the road would keep on running
Just the way we always planned
ALLEMANDE LEFT and WEAVE
Maybe we were meant for something
That was never meant to last
But I wouldn’t trade a single moment
Of the life we almost had
FIGURE
Heads/Sides Promenade 1/2 Way, walk right in and
Single Circle 1/2 - Star Thru
Right & Left Thru - Wear Left and a
Ferris Wheel - Centers Square Thru 3
SWING that Girl - and PROMENADE
Some things leave without a reason
But leave a little light
MIDDLE BREAK
Grand Square
There’s an old town by the water
Where the evenings still feel warm
Sometimes I can almost see us
Walking there before the storm
ALLEMANDE LEFT and WEAVE
Maybe we were meant for something
That was never meant to last
But I wouldn’t trade a single moment
Of the life we almost had
CLOSER
Grand Square
Now the years have changed the picture
And we both have found our way
But I still smile when I remember
All the dreams we had that day
ALLEMANDE LEFT and WEAVE
Maybe we were meant for something
That was never meant to last
But I wouldn’t trade a single moment
Of the life we almost had
